I work on one of the most historic sites in Brooklyn. I work at the High School for Service and Learning, which is located on the Erasmus Hall campus. Erasmus is the second oldest public high school in the United States. It was founded in 1787 before the United States Constitution was ratified. Amazingly the old school building from 1787 survives, but it is in a run down state and needs a total renovation. I wrote an e mail to the Borough President Eric Adams asking him to make an effort to preserve this living piece of Brooklyn history. I would ask you to also write him and ask that the building be renovated. Here is his address: askeric askeric@brooklynbp.nyc.gov
